"Mud Weekend" at Campground in TX - 8/16-8/18

Circle J Ranch and Cattle Company (gay owned) has announced their mudweekend for 16-18 August. Their site is about 90 minutes drive from Dallas.

They have had this in the past and it was a great time. Nice red clay (with a little sand) mudpit, with large pond adjacent for clean-up.

Kind of a long trip for many of us (on the coast(s), but there aren't many campgrounds catering to this sort of thing. The guys who run the place are real friendly, and there is lodging for those traveling without camping gear.

looking for a good deep spot Cda ID or close

would love to meet some fellow mudders near cda ID or maybe spokane wa. there has to be some good spots considering were surrounded by lakes, rivers, creeks, ect..

Construction Sies

The best spots I've found in the past are road construction site. Particularly interstate highways. If you go after hours or on the week ends/holidays you can have the privacy you need. Usually by the time they have the ground cut and flattened out the clay sub soil flows off the road, (during rains) down in to the drainage ditches and gullies in to deep, soupy, slurry clay pots. Although the spots are seasonal, (they don't last long, until the construction is over) they are well worth the time. Cheers.
