Muddy Southern UK places next week
Hi guys,
Next week I'm visiting the UK for a few days because I'm attending the Oasis concert in Cardiff. I'm Netherlands base and driving with my own car via Calais/Dover and will travel from Dover through the southern part of England to Wales eventually. My wife and kid are staying at home, so I was hoping to get some nice, undisturbed muddy action on my way. I always loved all the pictures from the UK-based guys and thought I should take my chances. Especially since I will sleep on campsites and can go out at night and return extremely muddy and shower there without anyone noticing. Also I'm really looking forward to reusing filthy gear several nights in a row.
Can anybody on here tell me where I should look for good mud places? I've seen some on the "muddy locations" part of this site, but I don't know the weather conditions right now (I'm guessing dry). So I'm looking for places with guaranteed deep, thick, sloppy mud even in dryer weather. I'm fond of places like quarries, building sites etc. Not so much a coastal mud type.
Looking forward to any reactions
Cheers!
