Dunton Mudbath

Manchester Mud

Found a good mud site in East Manchester (Oldham, Ashton) area, been there the last two nights with a couple of mates. Yeoman Hey reservoir (next to Dove Stones reservoir off the A635 Holmfirth Road) is currently partially drained and has some great mud of various types and consistencies near the top end, where the water flows in. In some places it's thigh deep and quite thick.

If anyone fancies a mud bud to go there with, message me.

Anyone up for mudding in Somerset / Southwest?

Leicester mud 2

Ok mudboys, this week's mud-recon sortie is a few miles south of the last one, target co-ordinates SP 542887.

Just south of Dunton Bassett, private land well serviced by bridleways (only one marked on photo). Sandpit settling ponds-limitless depths...sink to the centre of the earth...so careful!

The farm in the centre of the picture has a prime view over the site :-( but why not make it a night mission?

Keen mountain bikers can link a ride through here to target 1 for an endurance-mudbath, with intermediate bridleway mudholes a-plenty, should you be in danger of drying-out in the sun.

Essex Mud

Anyone know some good places in Essex to have some slimey private fun?

Leicester mud

The sand pit at Huncote, to the SW of Leicester is a nice place to go looking for mud; not as good as it was, but still fun.

Find it on the OS map at ref. SP 512982 or thereabouts. The land is of course private, but is crossed by public bridleways and is popular for runners and dog walkers as well as mountain bikers out for a play in the mud.

See the aerial recon photo attached: PA28s are really useful for searching out muddy places ;-)

northamptonshire mud

Any one want to meet up for some mud fun in northamptonshire?
Any good mud sites nearby?

Sites in Cambs

I've just become the proud owner of a new pair of Bullseye waders and they're crying out for some mud action. I don't have my own transport and usually commute to Essex on the train for mud. I was wondering if anyone knows any good mud sites a bit closer to home, either within cycling distance of Cambridge or walking distance of a bus stop or train station? Even better would be if someone local could show me the ropes!
